SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern – A complete details

As we mentioned above the written exam is the first phase of selection and after this test, the participent will be select for the skill test in stenography. So let’s check the complete details about SSC Stenographer Grade C & D Exam.

It will be a Computer Based Exam that will be completed at various exam centers provided by the Staff Selection Commission. The paper will be Objective Multiple Choice Type and the questions will be asked in both Hindi and English Language.

SSC Stenographer Written Exam will divided into three parts i.e. (1) General Intelligence & Reasoning, (2) General Awareness and (3) English Language & Comprehension. Both part 1 & 2 will carry 50 questions per each part for 50 marks each but the 3rd part will carry 100 questions for 100 marks.

In other words, we can say that the examination will be conducted for 200 marks in which 200 questions will be asked. There will be a negative marking for 0.25 marks as per the wrong answer.

SSC Stenographer Skill Test

After the process of Computer Based Examination, the aspirants who will qualify in this test are select for the Skill Test. This test will be conducted to check the typing speed of candidates in both Hindi and English Language.

The candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English / Hindi at the speed of 100 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade C and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade D. The matter will have to be transcribed on computing. The transcription time is as follows:-

Stenographer Group C40 minutes (English)
55 Minutes (Hindi)
Stenographer Group D50 minutes (English)
65 minutes (Hindi)
